How We Use AI
We get asked this from time to time, so here’s the honest answer: yes, we use AI tools occasionally — but they don’t write for us.
Every article you read on Meeple Power starts with real people: gamers, parents, students, retirees, and storytellers who actually play the games we feature. The ideas, opinions, and experiences come straight from us — the people sat round the table rolling dice, laughing, and occasionally flipping them in frustration.
We use AI much like most people use spellcheck — to tidy rough edges, polish grammar, and make sure our writing’s easy to read. Sometimes it helps us reorganise a messy draft or spot a sentence that’s trying a bit too hard. But AI doesn’t decide what we say, what we recommend, or what we believe. That’s entirely down to us.
Occasionally, we also use AI to help with images — usually when we can’t photograph something ourselves. If a post includes an AI‑generated image, it’s simply there to illustrate a concept, like showing how a cosy game night might look or imagining a board setup we don’t own. We never use AI to fake real people, products, or events.
Everything published on this site is reviewed by a human before it goes live. If it doesn’t sound like us — the group of humans behind Meeple Power — it doesn’t make the cut.
AI is a tool, not a replacement. Think of it as our unpaid intern: great at proofreading, hopeless at understanding why Azul turns even the nicest players into ruthless tile thieves.
If you’ve got any questions about how we use (or don’t use) AI, drop us an email at admin@meeplepower.co.uk. Transparency matters to us, and we’d much rather you hear it straight from the people actually playing the games.
